90° surface bar

This piercing jewelry is intended for use in a professional piercing studio, as it takes a little practice to insert them - an experience most piercers have. These 90-degree barbells are similar, but their length is different. They are available from 1/2" up to 1-3/8" (12 mm to 35 mm). On the two shortest models, the ball diameter is 5/32" (4 mm), while the rest come with 3/16" (5 mm) balls. The gauge size is 14g (1.6 mm) in every model.

In short, these surface bars are used where other barbell types can’t. These are usually inserted in the neck or sternum. Surface barbells can also be used as a substitute for two dermal anchors.

All these bars have a 90° angle - the length, or should we call it the height, from the bar to the balls vary slightly from model to model.
