The labret you're looking at is made of surgical steel, and the top bead is crafted from brass. The owl has been coated with rhodium so that it matches the labret's post on which it’s perched. The owl's belly is studded with lots of different colored stones, such as purple and light blue. Besides, there is also a large black gem in each of the eyes of the owl.
The labret post is internally threaded, which is a great advantage of this type of piercings. Externally threaded jewelry is prone to cause scratches when being inserted, a risk that’s out of the table when wearing internally threaded body jewelry.
